Floor Heating Installed in the Royal House
With the funds from the budget of the Banja Luka City and the Ministry of Education and Culture the floor heating is installed in the Royal House. On the 3rd November 2006 the mayor of Banja Luka, Mr. Dragoljub Davidović has symbolically actuated the boiler room.

The first congress of the archive workers in Bosnia and Herzegovina has been held
On the first congress of the archive workers in Bosnia and Herzegovina (in Ilidža nearby Sarajevo, 2-4 November 2006) participated seventeen employees of the Archives of the Republic of Srpska. The scientific papers on the congress presented the manager of the Archives of the Republic of Srpska Ljiljana Radošević (Remembrance for Future), Zoran Mačkić (The Uniform Information System of the Archives of the Republic of Srpska), Verica Josipović (The Archival Network of the Republic of Srpska), Ljubica Ećimović (Utilization of the Archive Records in the Archives of the Republic of Srpska), Verica Stošić (Protection of the Archive Records in the Archives of the Republic of Srpska), Dušan Vržina (Protection of the Archive Records among Possessors and Creators) and Bojan Stojnić (The Archive Groups and Collections in the Archives of the Republic of Srpska). The new books of our employees: Bojan Stojnić (The Press and Printing Houses in Banja Luka until 1940), Verica Stošić (Banja Luka, the Center of the Vrbaska Banovina and the Banja Luka Jews) and Zoran Mačkić (The Banja Luka’s Chess Club – The Commemorative Volume 1926 – 1940) were also presented in the congress.

Visit of the High School pupils
On the 24th November 2006 the seven pupils of the High School final year (Jelena Blagojević, Živana Negušić, Nikola Paripović, Tamara Pušić, Saša Stošić, Sonja Čegar and Milija Šimleša) led by professor Božo Marić visited the Archives when they listened a special lecture.

Donation of Telekom Srpske
Telekom Srpske has donated funds to the Archives in the amount of 200.000 KM. This worthy donation has been designated for the realization of the project of digitalizing the archive groups/collections. Having carried out the legal procedure for selecting the best bidder, supply of powerful archive server (2 terabytes) and designing of Document Management Systems is accredited to the respectable company “Digit” d.o.o. Banja Luka, one of the nine bidders that developed own program solutions. The ultimate project goal is the provision of preconditions for all business standardization and automation.

Documentation of the Memorial Area Donja Gradina again in the Archive
Minister of Education and Culture in the Government of the Republic of Srpska, professor doctor Gojko Savanovic delivered to representatives of the Archive scanned and microfilmed documentation of saved part of the Collection of the Memorial Area Donja Gradina.
Scanning an microfilming of documentation was done by the Museum of Holocaust in Vashington.
After the experts of the Archive perform necessary examinations and preparation, part of documentation shall be presented to the public at our web site.
