The Archives of the Republic of Srpska is republic administrative organization within the Ministry of Education and Culture.

The Archives carries out the determined activity in the whole territory of the Republic of Srpska. The Archives has a status of a central institution for the protection of cultural values.

Director of the Archives is Ljiljana Radosevic.

With the funds from the budget of the Banja Luka City and the Ministry of Education and Culture the floor heating is installed in the Royal House.

On the first congress of the archive workers in Bosnia and Herzegovina (in Ilidža nearby Sarajevo, 2-4 November 2006) participated seventeen employees of the Archives of the Republic of Srpska.

On the 24th November 2006 the seven pupils of the High School final year visited the Archives when they listened a special lecture.

Telekom Srpske has donated funds to the Archives in the amount of 200.000 KM. This worthy donation has been designated for the realization of the project of digitalizing the archive groups/collections.

Minister of Education and Culture of the Republic of Srpska professor doctor Gojko Savanovic delivered to representatives of the Archive the scanned and microfilmed documentation of the Collection of the Memorial Area Donja Gradina.
